The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (JLCO) – under the musical direction of nine-time Grammy winner and world-renowned trumpeter, bandleader, and composer Wynton Marsalis – comprises of 15 of the finest jazz soloists and ensemble players today. The Jazz at Lincoln Center resident orchestra since 1988, this remarkably versatile resident orchestra performs and leads educational events in New York, across the U.S., and around the globe. With a vast repertoire, this legendary ensemble explores rare historic compositions to Jazz at Lincoln-Center-commissioned works, including compositions by Duke Ellington, Dave Brubeck, Dizzy Gillespie, Count Basie, Thelonious Monk, and many others.
