Alexa Tarantino Quartet at Conjunto de Artes Escenicas

Alexa Tarantino is an American jazz saxophonist, multi-wind player, composer, and educator.
She has performed with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, Wynton Marsalis, Sherrie Maricle and the DIVA Jazz Orchestra, Darcy James Argue’s Secret Society, Arturo O’Farrill and the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra, and Cécile McLorin Salvant.

Tarantino was nominated for “Rising Star: Alto Saxophone” by Downbeat Magazine’s Critics’ Poll in 2020 and 2021, and JazzTimes’ Critics’ Poll named her one of the “Top 5 Alto Saxophonists of 2019”. In 2021, Tarantino received the Jazz Coalition Fund.
